The fresh Windows Terminal for Windows 10 users was announced by Microsoft at Build 2019. The Windows Terminal appeared on the Microsoft Store last night but was not accessible for download.
Microsoft has now released an official post confirming Windows Terminal’s release. This is going to be the first of several versions of Windows Terminal. The terminal is in practice at this stage and Microsoft has set the date for launch of Terminal 1.0 in the summer of 2019.
The new Terminal app comes with several new characteristics such as various tab support, GPU accelerated DirectWrite / DirectX-based text rendering engine, support for numerous environments and configuration options that enable users to customize the appearance of Terminal and more.
You can download Windows Terminal from the Microsoft Store below if you run Windows 10. Microsoft has produced the new open source terminal so you can go to GitHub and add to the application’s growth.
